Henrique Leonel Gomes
My research interests have been directed towards the electrical characterization of electronic devices and sensors. I have been working in the electrical characterization of organic based devices since 1990. The expertise is in the area of AC impedance measurements techniques to address impurity states in electronic devices and their effects in device reliability. Recently, my research activities have expanded to encompass also the interaction between conducting polymers and biological materials. I have a special interest in the application of such materials to electronic and optoelectronic devices with application as biosensors. Since 2007, I have also study resistive memory devices in close collaboration with Philips Research Labs in Eindhoven.
