Rafaella Theodoro Buratto

Formada em Química Tecnológica pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (2009-2013), cursou cursos complementares na Área de Engenharia Química pela Universidad de Valladolid (2012-2013) durante período de intercambio pelo ciências Sem Fronteiras Graduação, obteve titulo de Maestria em Materiais Nanoestruturados para Aplicação em Nanotecnologia pela Universidad de Zaragoza (2014-2015).Realizou trabalhos de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento nas áreas Cientificas sob diversas temáticas, tais como: desenvolvimento de Catalizadores para oxidação de Hidrocarbonetos (PUC-Campinas); Melhoramento genético de sementes (IAC - Campinas); Encapsulação e beneficiamento de Polifenóis para a indústria alimentícia (Universidad de Valladolid); Síntese de Blocos de copolímeros com respostas a luz UV para Drug Reliase (Universidad de Zaragza).Também realizou trabalhos de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento na área Farmacêutica-industrial com o desenvolvimento de metodologias para detecção de resíduos de solventes tóxicos em matéria prima e produtos farmacológicos por cromatografia a Gases (EMS-Hortolândia).Atualmente desenvolve atividades correlatas a formação de Doutorado pleno no exterior.

Rafaella Theodoro Buratto (Campinas, 1990) started the studies of chemistry at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas in 2009. In the academic course of 2012/13, she spent ten months at University of Valladolid (UVa) for the development of the final project ?Encapsulation of Quercetin by Precipitation in Supercritical Anti-solvent (SAS)? in the frame of the Ciencias sem Fronteiras Program. At her return from Spain, she graduated at the end of 2013 and joined to EMS Sigma Pharma at the beginning of 2014 as Analytical Researcher. Ms. Buratto starts her MS studies on nanostructured materials for nanotechnology applications at the University of Zaragoza, in the academic course 2014- 2015. More recently, she initiated her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Technology, in 2016, at the High-Pressure Processes Group of the Department of Chemical Engineering (University of Valladolid).Ms. Buratto had her first approaching with R&D in 2010. She has been in touch to this area since then, been working in many different fields, such as catalytic oxidation (PUC-Campinas), genetic improvement (IAC), vehicular engines combustion (Magneti Marelli-Powertrain), extraction and formulation of natural products (HPP Group), and development of methods for HPLC (PUC-Campinas) and GC (EMS Sigma Pharma). All these experiences did enrich her skills as a chemist in R&D, preparing her for a future job position in this area.
