Francisco Jorge Vicente

Doutor em Geografia, na linha de pesquisa Análise Territorial, pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), em Porto Alegre, Brasil, em 2023. Mestre em Estudos Estratégicos Internacionais pela UFRGS (2015) e Bacharel em Geografia (Geógrafo) pela mesma universidade (1993), onde lecionou na cadeira de Geografia Humana e Econômica (1994 a 1995) como Professor Substituto. Licenciado em Geografia pela Rede de Educação Claretiano (2021). Técnico Industrial em Mineração, formado na Escola Técnica mantida pela Sociedade de Assistência aos Trabalhadores do Carvão (SATC), em Criciúma-SC, no ano de 1976. Foi Diretor de Administração e Finanças da Empresa de Trens Urbanos de Porto Alegre - TRENSURB (2016), Diretor de Departamento da Secretaria-Geral de Governo do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, (2011 a 2014), Assessor Executivo da Presidência da TRENSURB (2015-2016) e Presidente da Central Única dos Trabalhadores (CUT/RS), de 1997 a 2000. Atualmente é Controlador do Centro de Controle do Aeromóvel no Metrô Gaúcho. Tem experiência em mobilidade, transportes metroferroviários e na área de Geografia e Movimentos Sociais, com ênfase em Geografia Política, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: América do Sul, integração regional, geopolítica, globalização e imperialismo.

Master in International Strategic Studies from UFRGS (2015) and Bachelor in Geography (Geographer) from the same university (1993), where he taught at the Chair of Human and Economic Geography (1994 to 1995) as a Substitute Professor. Degree in Geography by the Claretiano Education Network, in 2021. Industrial Terchnician in Mining trained at the Technical School maintained by Society for Assistance to Coal Works (SATC), in Criciúma (SC), in 1976. Was Director of Administration and Finance at the Empresa de Trens Urbanos de Porto Alegre - TRENSURB (2016), Department Director of the General Secretariat of Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (2011 to 2014), Executive Advisor to the Presidency of TRENSURB (2015-2016) and President of the Central Única dos Trabalhadores (CUT-RS), from 1997 to 2000. He is currently Controller of the Aeromovel Control Center at Metrô Gaúcho. Has experience in mobility, metro-rail transport and in the area of Geography and Social Movements, with an emphasis on Political Geography, working mainly on the following topics: South America, regional integration, geopolitics, globalization and imperialism.
