Leandro Passos de Figueiredo

Has experience primarily in inverse problems in geophysics, Bayesian inference, stochastic methods, geostatistics and digital rock physics. He received his PhD in Physics in 2017 and continued his work in Bayesian seismic inversion as a postdoc for one year at the University of Wyoming. In 2017 he co-founded the start-up LTrace - Geophysical Solutions, where he has been the CRO since then. His current work focuses on joint facies seismic inversion and deep learning applied to digital rockphysics. In 2023, he received the Arie Van Weelden Award for recognition of innovative solutions and contributions to the geoscientific community in the field of geostatistics and subsurface modeling.

Possui experiência principalmente em problemas inversos em geofísica, inferência bayesiana, métodos estocásticos, geoestatística e física de rochas digital. Recebeu PhD em Física em 2017 e continuou seu trabalho em inversão sísmica bayesiana como pós-doutorado por um ano na Universidade de Wyoming. Em 2017 também co-fundou a empresa LTrace, onde é o CRO desde então. Seu trabalho atual se concentra em inversão sísmica geoestatística e inteligência artificial aplicada à física de rochas digital. No ano de 2023, recebeu o Award Arie Van Weelden Award por reconhecimento a soluções inovadoras e contribuições para a comunidade geocientífica no campo da geoestatística e modelagem de subsuperfície.
