Thayse Leal Lima

Possui graduação em Letras pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2003), mestrado em Literatura Brasileira pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2006) e PhD em Portuguese Brazilian Studies pela Brown University (2013). É Assistant Professor na University of Maryland. Concentra-se principalmente nas áreas de Estudos Culturais e Literários, Literatura Brasileira e Latino-Americana Contemporânea e Crítica literária latino-americana. Atualmente pesquisa as relações entre a teoria crítica brasileira e hsipano-americana na segunda metade do século XX.

Thayse Leal Lima is an Assistant Professor of Brazilian Literature in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Maryland. She earned a PhD in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies from Brown University (2015), an M.A. in Brazilian Literature from UFMG (2006) and a B.A. in Literature and Language (Letras) from UFMG (2004). She specializes in Cultural and Literary Studies, Brazilian and Latin American Contemporary Literature, and Latin American Literary Criticism. She is currently researching the relationships between Brazilian and Hispanic-American Critical Theory in the second half of the 20th century.
