Graduado em Química (habilitação em Química Industrial) pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). Mestrado em Química (UFBA), com pesquisa em Química de Produtos Naturais de origem vegetal, associada a ferramentas biotecnológicas. Doutorado em andamento pelo Centro de Desenvolvimento da Tecnologia Nuclear (CDTN), na área de concentração de Ciência e Tecnologia dos Minerais e Meio Ambiente. Supervisor de Proteção Radiológica (Mineração e Beneficiamento Físico e Químico de Minérios de Urânio e Tório) e Gerente (interino) de Segurança, Radioproteção e Meio Ambiente da Unidade de Concentração de Urânio das Indústrias Nucleares do Brasil. Experiência em avaliação de dados ambientais e ocupacionais devido à exposição à radiação, elaboração de relatórios técnicos de análise de segurança, técnicas analíticas aplicadas a radionuclídeos, radioquímica ambiental e eventos não usuais na mineração e no beneficiamento de minério de urânio.

Graduated in Chemistry from the Federal University of Bahia, with qualification in Industrial Chemistry, with a master's degree in Chemistry from the same institution taking part ing research with Natural Product Chemistry. He was the chemist responsible for the Environmental Control Laboratory of the Uranium Concentration Unit (URA) of the Nuclear Industries of Brazil (INB), where he supervised the activities of radiochemical analysis (radionuclides from the radioactive decay series of uranium-238 and thorium-232 by ICP-MS and liquid scintillation spectrometry), inorganic (Ion Chromatography, Atomic Absorption Spectrometry and ICP-MS) and physical-chemical parameters. At INB / URA, in addition to being a chemist, he worked as a Radiological Protection Supervisor in the area of Mining and Physical and Chemical Processing of Uranium and Thorium Ore. He was also the Environmental Coordinator at INB / URA, responsible for radiological environmental control activities, management of waste and radioactive waste and recovery of degraded areas. Currently, he develops his activities as (interim) Manager of Safety, Radioprotection and Environment at INB / URA. He has experience in the evaluation of environmental and occupational data due to exposure to radiation in mining facilities and processing of uranium and thorium ores, in the preparation of technical reports of safety analysis, analytical techniques applied to radionuclides, radiochemistry and evaluation of unusual events in mining and processing of uranium ore.
