Everaldo Barreiros de Souza é Servidor Público e atualmente exerce o cargo de PROFESSOR TITULAR do Instituto de Geociências (IG) da Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA), em Belém-PA na Amazônia oriental, Brasil. Doutor em Meteorologia pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP/IAG, 2003), Mestre em Meteorologia pelo Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE/CPTEC, 1997) e Bacharel em Meteorologia pela Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA, 1993). Desde 2006 é Professor da Faculdade de Meteorologia (FAMET) e desde 2007 é Docente Permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação (Mestrado e Doutorado) em Ciências Ambientais (PPGCA) da UFPA/MPEG/EMBRAPA (Curso Nota 5 - CAPES). Coordenador do PPGCA no triênio 2018/2019/2020. Bolsista PQ-2 Produtividade em Pesquisa do CNPQ desde 2006. Foi Membro do Painel Brasileiro de Mudanças Climáticas (PBMC) e Autor principal do Cap. 9 (Mudanças ambientais de curto e longo prazo) que foi publicado no Primeiro Relatório da Avaliação Nacional sobre Mudanças Climáticas. Foi Coordenador geral do Projeto de Núcleo de Excelência na UFPA denominado de Rede de Mudanças Climáticas e Ambientais do Pará com financiamento pelo Edital PRONEX/CNPQ/FAPESPA de 2010 a 2019. Pesquisador Líder do Grupo Modelagem Climática Aplicada às Ciências Ambientais da Amazônia (http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/490037). Nos últimos 10 anos foi Coordenador de 12 Projetos de Pesquisa científica/tecnológica financiados pelas Agências FINEP, CNPQ, CAPES, SUDAM, FAPESPA. Como Orientador principal já concluiu a orientação de 11 Teses de Doutorado, 13 Dissertações de Mestrado e mais de 40 TCC/Bolsas PIBIC, bem como foi tutor de 06 bolsistas de Pós-Doutorado. Publicou mais de 100 artigos científicos em Periódicos Nacionais e International Journals. Tem experiência na área de Geociências e Ciências Ambientais, com ênfase em Climatologia e Hidrologia da Amazônia, Modelagem Climática Regional e Global, Mudanças Climáticas, Ciências Ambientais e Pesquisas Interdisciplinares no contexto da Amazônia. PhD in Meteorology from the University of São Paulo (USP/IAG, 2003), Master in Meteorology from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE/CPTEC, 1997) and Bachelor in Meteorology from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA, 1993). Currently holds the position of FULL PROFESSOR at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) at the Geosciences Institute (IG). Since 2006 a Professor at the Faculty of Meteorology (FAMET) and since 2007 a Permanent Lecturer at the Graduate Program (Master's and Doctorate) in Environmental Sciences (PPGCA) from UFPA / MPEG / EMBRAPA (Course 5-CAPES). Coordinator of the PPGCA in the triennium 2018/2019/2020. PQ-2 Research Productivity Scholarship from CNPQ since 2006. Member of the Brazilian Panel on Climate Change (PBMC) and main author of Cap. 9 (Short- and long-term environmental change) which was published in the First National Assessment Report on Climate Change (PBMC, 2014). General coordinator of the Center for Excellence Project at UFPA called the Climate and Environmental Change Network with funding from the PRONEX/CNPQ/FAPESPA from 2010 to 2019. Coordinator of 10 funded scientific/technological Research Projects by the agencies FINEP, CNPQ, CAPES, SUDAM, FAPESPA. As the main advisor, has completed the supervision of 09 Doctoral Theses, 11 Master's Dissertations and more than 30 TCC/PIBIC Scholarships, as well as tutoring 06 Post-Doctoral scholarships. Ive published over 100 scientific papers in National and International Journals. Experience in Geosciences and Environmental Sciences, with an emphasis on Climatology and Hydrology of the Amazon, Regional and Global Climate Modeling, Climate Variability and Change, Environmental Sciences and Interdisciplinary Research in the context of the Amazon. Also, I am also a Marathon Runner with a time of 4h20min in the 42km 195m of the SP City Marathon in São Paulo in the years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019.
