Profa. Dra. Ana Carolina Fragoso Motta

Graduated in Dentistry from the Federal University of Bahia (1997), Master's and Ph.D. in Dentistry (Oral Diagnosis) from the University of São Paulo (2001 and 2005, respectively). She held a postdoctoral degree at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto-USP, under the supervision of Profa. Dr. Norma Tiraboschi Foss (2006-2008), and at Brigham and Women's Hospital - Harvard Medical School (2012-2013), under the supervision of Profs. Drs Nathaniel Simon Treister and George Francis Murphy. She joined as a professor in 2014 and is currently an Associate Professor at FORP-USP. She is an accredited professor in the postgraduate programs in Periodontics at FORP-USP and Oral Diagnosis, Dental Radiology and Imaging at FO-USP. She works in the field of Stomatology, mainly on the following topics: pathophysiology of infectious diseases and the study of oral manifestations of inflammatory autoimmune diseases.

Possui graduação em Odontologia pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (1997), mestrado e doutorado em Odontologia (Diagnóstico Bucal) pela Universidade de São Paulo (2001 e 2005, respectivamente). Realizou pós-doutorado na Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto-USP, sob supervisão da Profa. Dra. Norma Tiraboschi Foss (2006-2008), e no Brigham and Women's Hospital - Harvard Medical School (2012-2013), sob supervisão dos Profs. Drs. Nathaniel Simon Treister e George Francis Murphy. Ingressou como docente em 2014 e atualmente é Professor Associado da FORP-USP. É professora credenciada nos programas de pós-graduação em Periodontia da FORP-USP e Diagnóstico Bucal, Radiologia Odontológica e Imaginologia da FO-USP. Atuou como vice-chefe do Departamento de Estomatologia, Saúde Coletiva e Odontologia Legal (2020-2022). Atua na área de Estomatologia, principalmente nos seguintes temas: fisiopatologia das doenças infecciosas e estudo das manifestações bucais de doenças iinflamatórias autoimunes.
