Syed Hamza Safeer Gardezi

did his B.Sc. from Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan in 2011. He has received M.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees in Physics at the department of Physics Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He did his Ph.D from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, thesis entitled: 'Atomically Thin Semiconducting Transition-Metal Dichalcogenides: From Synthesis to Electro-Optical Properties'. Hamza's Ph.D research is related to the synthesis and characterization of monolayer MoS2, WS2, and their heterostructure. He also worked on second harmonic generation in multiple layer TMDs and device fabrication on TMDs. He also worked on High Temperature Superconductors during his Masters research.

master's at M Phil Physics from Quaid i Azam University (2015) and doctorate at Physics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2020). Has experience in Physics, focusing on Superconductivity
