Erika Caitano da Silva

Agronomist Engineer graduated from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), Master in Plant Science also from the same institution, PhD in Plant Production in the area of Soil Science from the State University of Norte Fluminense (UENF). She worked in the area of Nutrient Cycling, with the development of mathematical models through Structural Equation Modeling (Software AMOS) for the understanding of Phosphorus cycling in Soil. During her Master's degree, she worked at Embrapa Agrobiology, where she developed research with an emphasis on understanding the production of greenhouse gases, especially N2O, in different agricultural systems and the development of technologies for their mitigation.

Engenheira Agrônoma formada pela Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), Mestre em Fitotecnia também pela mesma instituição, Doutora em Produção Vegetal na área de Ciência dos Solos pela Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense (UENF). Atuou na área de Ciclagem de nutrientes, com desenvolvimento de modelos matemáticos através de Modelagem de Equações Estruturais (Software AMOS) para o entendimento da ciclagem de Fósforo no Solo. No Mestrado atuou na Embrapa Agrobiologia, onde desenvolveu pesquisas com ênfase no entendimento da produção de gases de efeito estufa, especialmente N2O, em diferentes sistemas agrícolas e desenvolvimento de tecnologias para sua mitigação.
