Doutor e mestre em Teologia pela Faculdades EST, Área de Concentração Teologia e História - Teologia Contemporânea, orientado pelo Dr. Rudolf von Sinner. Licenciado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS (2004). Bolsista Oxford-Templeton do projeto "Latin America and The Big Questions", do Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion, University of Oxford, UK. (2016) Período "sanduíche" realizado como aluno reconhecido visitante na Faculty of Theology da University of Oxford, afiliado ao Harris Manchester College sob orientação do Prof. Alister McGrath e Dr. Ignácio Silva. Pesquisador na área de interface Ciência e Religião, com ênfase nas relações do movimento evangélico com a ciência evolutiva de Charles Darwin. Coordenador do THEOLAB, projeto que visa promover o diálogo entre a fé cristã e a ciência contemporânea. Colaborador da Associação Brasileira de Cristãos na Ciência. Possui experiência na área de ensino de Ciências e Biologia em níveis escolares, inclusive em escola bilíngue (português/inglês). Professor de Inglês com curso de inglês avançado no Lakeview Learning Center, do Truman College de Chicago, IL, EUA,(2000).

Master and PhD in Theology from Faculdades EST (São Leopoldo, RS, Brazil), concentration area Theology and History - Contemporary Theology, tutored by Dr. Rudolf von Sinner. . Licentiate degree in Biological Sciences, with emphasis in Teaching, obtained from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 2004. Grantee of Oxford-Templeton scholarship in the project "Latin America and The Big Questions" from the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion, Univeristy of Oxford, UK. Recognized student of the Faculty of Theology of the University of Oxford, affiliated to Harris Manchester College, under the supervision of Prof. Alister McGrath and Dr. Ignacio Silva. Researcher on the interface between Science and Religion, with emphasis on evangelicalism and evolution. Coordinator of THEOLAB, an outreach project funded by the John templeton Foundation that aims at establishing a constructive dialogue between science and Christian faith. Experience in teaching of Sciences and Biology for Middle and High School, including in a bilingual school (Portuguese/English). Frequent collaborator with the Brazilian Associaton of Christians in Science.
