Felipe Ferraz Dias

Graduated in Biological Sciences from UFJF (2007), Master in Cellular Biology from UFMG (2009) and PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Fundação Oswaldo Cruz - FIOCRUZ/RJ (2015), focusing on understanding the role of eosinophils in inflammatory sites during infection by Schistosoma mansoni. He held a post-doctorate at PNPD/CAPES at the Graduate Program in Cell Biology at UFMG, where he worked with the ultrastructure of cells involved in the synthesis and secretion of proteins, through conventional microscopy techniques and cryofixation of biological samples. He was a substitute professor of Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Department of Biology at UFJF (2010-2011 and 2015-2016). He is currently a professor at the State University of Minas Gerais - UEMG, teaching disciplines in the area of ​​Morphology. Participates in the Research Group on Cell Biology at UFJF and the Research Group on Arboviruses at the Center for Research and Development of Drugs (CPDF) as a collaborating researcher. He also collaborated in works of the Liver Center at UFMG Group. He has experience in Cell Biology, Host Microorganism Interaction and Eosinophil Immunobiology, acting on the following subjects: cellular ultrastructure, intracellular transport of vesicles and cellular secretion, acute and chronic inflammation, ultrastructural immunolabeling and immunopathology, focusing on the study of pathogenesis of infectious diseases in experimental models.

Graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela UFJF (2007), mestrado em Biologia Celular pela UFMG (2009) e doutorado em Biologia Celular e Molecular pela Fundação Oswaldo Cruz - FIOCRUZ/RJ (2015), com foco no entendimento do papel de eosinófilos em sítios inflamatórios durante a infecção por Schistosomamansoni. Realizou pós-doutorado PNPD/CAPES na Pós-Graduação em Biologia Celular da UFMG, onde trabalhou com ultraestrutura de células envolvidas com a síntese e secreção de proteínas, através de técnicas convencionais de microscopia e criofixação de amostras biológicas. Foi professor substituto de Biologia Celular e Molecular no Departamento de Biologia da UFJF (períodos 2010-2011 e 2015-2016). Atualmente, é professor da Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais - UEMG, lecionando disciplinas na área de Morfologia. Participa do Grupo de Pesquisas em Biologia Celular da UFJF e do Grupo de Pesquisa em Arboviroses do Centro de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento de Fármacos (CPDF) como pesquisador colaborador. Também colaborou em trabalhos do Grupo Liver Center at UFMG. Tem experiência na área de Biologia Celular, Interação Micro-organismo Hospedeiro e Imunobiologia de Eosinófilos, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: ultraestrutura celular, transporte intracelular de vesículas e secreção celular, inflamação aguda e crônica, imunomarcação ultraestrutural e imunopatologia, com ênfase no estudo da patogênese de doenças infeciosas em modelos experimentais.
