Interested in the molecular basis of behaviour, complex psychiatric traits and heritable diseases, more specifically in functionally characterising genes and the genetic elements called 'human endogenous retroviruses' associated with these conditions by genome-wide association studies. Undergone intensive training in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, cell culture and microscopy. Regularly engaged in courses, voluntary teaching and international conferences.
