Helio Francisco Shiroma

Graduated in Medicine from the State University of Campinas (1991). Residency in Ophthalmology at UNICAMP, fellowship at Retina and Vitreo at UNICAMP, PhD from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). He is currently an ophthalmologist at the Homero Regional Hospital in Miranda Gomes, head of the Retina and Vitreous sector. He is part of the clinical staff of the Ophthalmological Center for Diagnosis and Therapeutics and the São Sebastião Eyes Clinic. He has experience in clinical and surgical ophthalmology, working in the following subjects: retinal and vitreous diseases, retinopathy of prematurity, cataract and intravitreal injection of antiangiogenic agents.

Possui graduação em Medicina pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1991). Residência em Oftalmologia na UNICAMP, fellowship em Retina e Vítreo na UNICAMP, Observership no Bascom Palmer (EUA), Doutorado da Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). Atualmente é médico oftalmologista no Hospital da Visão de Santa Catarina e da Clínica de Olhos São Sebastião. Tem experiência na área de Oftalmologia clínica e cirúrgica, atuando nos seguintes temas: doenças da retina e vitreo, retinopatia da prematuridade, catarata e injecao intravitrea de antiangiogênicos.
