Graduado em Medicina pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC,1993), Residência em Medicina Preventiva e Social na Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública (ENSP-Fiocruz,1996), Mestrado em Epidemiologia Ambiental e Políticas pela London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine da Universidade de Londres (University of London - 2000), Doutorado em Saúde Coletiva pela Universidade Estadual do Ceará (PPGSC -UFC/Uece/Unifor, 2017) e Pós-Doutorado na Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Atuo como Secretário Executivo de Vigilância em Saúde da Secretária da Saúde do Estado do Ceará (SESA-CE) e Professor Adjunto do Curso de Medicina da Universidade de Fortaleza (UNIFOR). Tenho experiência profissional e acadêmica, principalmente, no campo da Epidemiologia, Vigilância, Prevenção e Controle de Doenças Transmissíveis.
I have a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC, 1993). I have completed Residency Training in Preventive and Social Medicine at the National School of Public Health (1996). I did a Masters in Environmental and Policy Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine at the University of London (2000), a PhD in Public Health at the Universidade Estadual do Ceará (2017) and a Post-Doctorate at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2019). I am currently the Coordinator of the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance of the Health Department of Fortaleza (Brazil) and Adjunct Professor of the Medicine Course at the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR). I have professional and academic experience in Epidemiological Surveillance and Infectious Diseases. I currently focus my research interests in the field of Epidemiology, Control and Prevention of Communicable Diseases.
