Bruna Mezzari Carlos

Has a bachelor's degree in Physics (2018) and a master's degree in Physics (2021) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Since 2021, she has been a PhD student in the Neurophysics Group at the Gleb Wataghin Physics Institute (IFGW/Unicamp). Her research focuses on the study of brain functional connectivity from electroencephalography (EEG) signals in different neurological conditions. As her main PhD project, she is carrying out research involving changes in functional connectivity in stroke patients during motor rehabilitation using neuromodulation. Is also conducting research in the area of epilepsy diagnosis and recently started a research internship at the University of Calgary on the subject of biomarkers of engagement in robot-assisted gait training based on EEG.

Possui bacharelado em Física (2018) e mestrado em Física (2021) pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Desde 2021, é estudante de Doutorado no Grupo de Neurofísica no Instituto de Física Gleb Wataghin (IFGW/Unicamp). Sua pesquisa tem como foco o estudo de conectividade funcional cerebral a partir de sinais de eletroencefalografia (EEG) em diferentes condições neurológicas. Como projeto principal de Doutorado, está realizando pesquisa envolvendo alterações de conectividade funcional em pacientes de acidente vascular cerebral durante reabilitação motora com uso de neuromodulação. Também está realizando pesquisa na área de diagnóstico de epilepsia e recentemente iniciou um estágio de pesquisa na University of Calgary com o tema biomarcadores de engajamento em treinamento de marcha assistida por robôs a partir de EEG.
