Marcus Vinícius Matias

Doctor in Literature and Linguistics at the Federal University of Alagoas and a professor at the same institution, where I serve as coordinator of English department and the teaching of English and its literature. I also direct research on detective stories, and anti-postmodern detective; Graphic Novel and Literature; Dystopian Hyperrealism; the representation of violence in literature and other media, into the Literature and Utopia study group.

Doutor em Letras e Linguística pela Universidade Federal de Alagoas e professor no ensino de Inglês e suas literaturas na Faculdade de Letras desta instituição. Pós-doutoramento em estudos literários e utopismos pela Universidade do Porto - Portugal. Orienta pesquisas sobre histórias de detetive, e de antidetective; Romance Gráfico; Hiper-realismo Distópico e a representação da violência na literatura; fantástico contemporâneo; e Ecocrítica. Integra os grupos de pesquisa Literatura e Utopia; e o Grupo de Estudos sobre o Ambientais e a Sociedade.
