Armando Zeferino Milioni

Bachelor in Aeronautical Mechanical Engineerig by the Aeronautical Technological Institute (ITA, 1979), Master in Operational Research and Transport by ITA (1983) and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences by Northwestern University (Evanston, IL, USA, 1987). From October 2005 to May 2010, he was part of the pro tempore team that established the Federal University of ABC, where he held the positions of Dean of the Graduate School, Vice-rector (Vice-president) and Rector's Chief of Staff. From June 2010 to December 2012, he directed the Institute of Science and Technology of the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp) in São José dos Campos. In January 2014, he was assigned to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, where he held the position of National Secretary for Technological Development and Innovation until the end of 2015. He retired in February 2017 as Full Professor of ITA, where he worked in the areas of operational research and applied statistics. He began his duties as a Senior Visiting Professor at the Federal University of ABC in March 2017, ending in June 2017. He currently works in the Graduate program in Operational Research offered jointly by Unifesp and ITA.

Engenheiro Mecânico Aeronáutico pelo Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA, 1979), Mestre em Pesquisa Operacional e Transporte pelo ITA (1983) e Ph.D. em Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences pela Northwestern University (Evanston, IL, EUA, 1987). Entre outubro de 2005 e maio de 2010, fez parte da equipe "pro tempore" que implantou a Universidade Federal do ABC, onde ocupou as funções de pró-reitor de pós-graduação, vice-reitor e chefe de gabinete da reitoria. Entre junho de 2010 e Dezembro de 2012, dirigiu o Instituto de Ciência e Tecnologia da Universidade Federal de São Paulo (Unifesp) em São José dos Campos. Em janeiro de 2014, foi cedido ao Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação, onde ocupou a função de Secretário Nacional de Desenvolvimento Tecnológico e Inovação até o final de 2015. Aposentou-se em fevereiro de 2017 como Professor Titular do ITA, onde atuou nas áreas de pesquisa operacional e estatística aplicada. Iniciou funções de Professor Visitante Sênior na Universidade Federal do ABC em março de 2017, encerrando-as em junho de 2017. Atualmente, atua no programa de pós-graduação em Pesquisa Operacional oferecido em conjunto pela Unifesp e pelo ITA.
