Khalil Kashefi

I am a PhD in petroleum engineering from Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom, with chemical engineering background. Now I am doing postdoctoral research at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil. For more than ten years, I have experienced several atmospheres in academia (at UFRJ, HWU and FUM) and industry (as a production engineer in NIOC and then a researcher in RIPI). This provided me with confidence, excellent engineering sense and communication abilities.During my PhD, I was involved in experimental and modelling of reservoir fluids properties mainly viscosity and IFT at HP/HT conditions and now at UFRJ I am more focused on different aspects of water/oil emulsions and rheology. Since both my doctorate study and postdoctoral position have been funded through Joint Industry Projects (JIPs), I had the opportunity to report regularly to the sponsors on progress and I could develop excellent presentation skills and a full understanding of successful project delivery and fulfilling the requests of the investigators. I could publish my research results in several peer-reviewed journals, conferences and technical reports.
