Dr. Márcio Araújo de Melo

Associate Professor at UFNT (Universidade de Federal do Norte do Tocantins). Graduated in Letters/Portuguese (UFG/1993), Master in Literary Studies (UFG/1996), PhD in Comparative Literature (UFMG/2006). He was substitute Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia (2006 and 2008), teaching Brazilian Literature, Portuguese Literature and Internship. Since 2009, he has held the position of Professor of Literature at the UFNT, teaching Brazilian Literature and African Literature from Portuguese-speaking countries. He held the position of coordinator of the Professional Master's Degree in Letters ProfLetras Rede Nacional/UFNT (2012-2013) and the position of coordinator of the Graduate Program in Linguistics and Literature at UFNT (2014-2021). Since 2022, he has held the position of director of the Dean of Graduate Studies at the same University. He is a founding member of GELLNORTE (Group for the Study of Linguistics and Literary Studies in the North) and of the GT Literature and Teaching at ANPOLL. He is leader of GEPELLE (Group for Study and Research in Literary Education: Literature, Reading and Teaching). He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;literature, with emphasis on Brazilian and African Portuguese-speaking literature, working mainly on the following topics: teaching literature, training readers, literary reading.

Professor Associado da UFNT (Universidade Federal do Norte do Tocantins). Possui graduação em Letras/Português (UFG/1993), Mestrado em Estudos Literários (UFG/1996), doutorado em Literatura Comparada (UFMG/2006). Foi Professor substituto na Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (2006 e 2008), ensinando Literatura Brasileira, Literatura Portuguesa e Estágio. Exerce o cargo de professor do curso de Letras da UFT/UFNT desde 2009 com as disciplinas Literatura Brasileira, Literatura africana dos países de língua oficial português. Exerceu o cargo de coordenador do Mestrado Profissional em Letras ProfLetras Rede Nacional/UFNT (2012-2014) e o cargo de coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Linguística e Literatura da UFNT (PPGLLIT) (2015-2021). Exerce desde 2022 o cargo de diretor da Pró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação na mesma Universidade. É socio-fundador do GELLNORTE (Grupo de Estudos Linguísticos e Literários do Norte) e do GT Literatura e Ensino da ANPOLL. É líder do GEPELLE (Grupo de Estudo e Pesquisa em Educação Literária: Literatura, Leitura e Ensino). Tem experiência na área de literatura, com ênfase em Literatura Brasileira e africanas de língua portuguesa, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: ensino de literatura, formação de leitores, leitura literária.
