Camilla Croso Cunha da Silva

Camilla Croso has a Master's degree in Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo and is currently a doctorate degree student at the Faculty of Education of UNICAMP, integrating the Education Policy Study and Research Group (GREPPE) as well as the Latin American and African Researchers' Network on EducationPrivatization. She is Director of Education of Open Society Foundations and was general coordinator of the Latin American Campaign for the Right to Education between 2007-2020, as well as President of the Global Campaign for Education between 2010-2018. She is currently on the Board of the Global Parntership for Education. Likewise, she was on the Global and Regional SDG4/Education 2030 Steering Committees, coordinated by UNESCO and integrated the Drafting Committees of the Dakar Framework for Action during the World Conference on Education for All in 2000, the Incheon Declaration and the SDG4/ Education 2030 Framework for Action. She was a keynote speaker on the right to education in the adoption of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda at the United Nations in 2015. Her publications relate particularly to education privatization, non-discrimination, the right to education and the right to social participation. In addition to publishing articles and a book, she published several chapters in books and was editorial coordinator of dozens of publications. Is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and Italian, and has basic knowledge of French.

Camilla Croso é Mestre em Política e Planejamento Social de Países em Desenvolvimento pela London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade de São Paulo e é atualmente doutoranda na Faculdade de Educação da UNICAMP, onde integra o Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Políticas Educacionais (GREPPE). Integra também a Rede Latino-Americana e Africana de Pesquisadores em Privatização da Educação. Ela é Diretora de Educação da Open Society Foundations e foi coordenadora geral da Campanha Latino-americana pelo Direito à Educação entre 2007 e 2020, bem como Presidenta da Campanha Mundial pela Educação entre 2010 e 2018. Atualmente integra o Comitê Diretivo da Aliança Mundial pela Educação. Integrou Comitês Diretivos Global e Regional ODS4/ Educação 2030 além dos Comitês de Redação do Marco de Ação de Dakar, durante a Conferencia Mundial de Educação para Todos em 2000, assim como da Declaração de Incheon e Marco de Ação da Educação 2030 em 2015. Foi palestrante sobre o direito à educação na adoção da Agenda de Desenvolvimento Sustentável 2030 nas Nações Unidas em 2015. Suas publicações se relacionam especialmente com a temática da privatização da educação, da não discriminação na educação, do direito à educação e do direito à participação social. Além da publicação de artigos e um livro, publicou diversos capítulos em livros e foi coordenadora editorial de dezenas de publicações. É fluente em português, inglês, espanhol e italiano, e possui conhecimento básico da língua francesa.
