Suely Pereira de Oliveira

Suely Pereira de Oliveira has been a Full Professor at the University of Iowa since July 2008. She received her undergraduate degree at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1984), master's and PhD in Applied Mathematics - University of Colorado at Denver (1993). She was a researcher at the Australian National Universtiy (1993-1994) and was Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University (1994-1998). Her research areas include various topics in Numerical Analysis, Scientific and Parallel Computing, Clustering Algorithms, Applications in Engineering and Bioinformatics. She was a visting researcher at Universidade Federal de Sao Paulo (2009-2010) and is co-author of the book Writing Scientific Software (Cambridge University, 2006).
