Vitoria Regia Peres da Rocha Oliveiros Marciano

Degree in Natural History obtained from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1968), majoring in Geology teaching at UNB - University of Brasilia in 1974, master's degree from USP - Universidade de São Paulo in Mineralogy and Petrology (1985), doctorate in General Geology and application by the University of São Paulo (1996). He directed the CPMTC IGC - Prof. Research Center Manoel Teixeira da Costa of Geosciences Institute for a term of two years. She directed the Mineralogy Museum Prof. Djalma Guimarães, of the Municipal Foundation Belo Horizonte Culture for 10 years. UFMG joined as a temporary teacher for tender in 1970. She reached the position of assistant by public tender in 1977, and associate professor of securities contest, and retired as associate professor R-4. Developed projects in the area of Mineralogy and Geochemistry of pegmatites, acting on the following topics: Pegmatitic Eastern Province of Brazil, mineral geochemistry, feldspar, mica, beryl, tourmaline and niobo-tantalates. She served in the areas of popularization of science and educational action in museums in the period in which he directed the Museum of Mineralogy Prof. Djalma Guimarães.

Graduação em História Natural obtida na Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1968), especialização em Ensino de Geologia na UnB - Universidade de Brasília em 1974, mestrado pela USP - Universidade de São Paulo em Mineralogia e Petrologia (1985), doutorado em Geologia Geral e Aplicação pela Universidade de São Paulo (1996). Dirigiu o CPMTC do IGC - Centro de Pesquisa Prof. Manoel Teixeira da Costa do Instituto de Geociências por um mandato de dois anos. Dirigiu o Museu de Mineralogia Prof. Djalma Guimarães, da Fundação Municipal de Cultura de Belo Horizonte por 10 anos. Ingressou na UFMG como professora temporária por concurso público em 1970. Atingiu a posição de professor assistente por concurso público em 1977, e a professor adjunto por concurso de títulos, sendo aposentada como professor adjunto R-4. Desenvolveu projetos na área de Mineralogia e Geoquímica de Pegmatitos, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Província Pegmatítica Oriental do Brasil, geoquímica mineral, feldspatos, micas, berilos, turmalinas e niobo-tantalatos. Atuou nas áreas de popularização da Ciência e ação educativa em museus no período em que dirigiu o Museu de Mineralogia Prof. Djalma Guimarães.
