Nilce Viana Gramosa Pompeu de Sousa Brasil

Nilce V. Gramosa earned her Bachelor degree in Industrial chemistry at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) in 1990. Before obtaining her Master's degree in Chemistry at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) in 1994, she became an auxiliary professor at Federal University of Piauí (UFPI). She worked in the chemical and pharmacological study of Copaifera langsdorffii Desf in her doctoral thesis (2001) at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). In 2013 she spend a year at The University of Manchester (United Kingdom) as postoctoral researcher in the "Characterization of complex mixtures of natural products by NMR spectroscopy: Matrix-assisted DOSY (MAD)". Since 2005 she has worked at Federal University of Ceará (UFC) in the actuation areas: Chemistry of Natural products and NMR applications, with study focused on the isolation and structural elucidation of natural products obtained of Croton, Xylopia and Copaifera species. She was sub-head from 2016-2020 of the Organic and inorganic Chemistry Department of UFC. Since 2010 she is member of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Users Association and Reviewer of many journals as Química Nova, Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine, British Journal of Pharmaceutical Research, Food Research International, Journal of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine and Brazilian Journal of Pharmacognosy. Actually, she has worked in metabolomic study of medicinal plants, foods and biofluids (plasma and urine), as well in the preparation and characterization of nanoemulsions. Since 2017 coordinate the Chemistry olympiads from elementary school to University level.

Possui graduação em Química Industrial pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (1990), mestrado em Química Orgânica pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (1994), doutorado em Química Orgânica pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (2001) e pós-doutorado em RMN na The University of Manchester, Reino Unido (2013). Atualmente é professora Associado IV da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Tem experiência nas linhas de pesquisa em Química de Produtos Naturais e Aplicações em RMN (DOSY e qNMR), incluindo metabolômica. Tem trabalhado no isolamento e caracterização de substâncias das espécies vegerais: Xylopia nitida, Copaifera langsdorffii, espécies dos Gêneros Marcetia e Croton, bem como, no estudo metabolômico de espécies vegetais, fitoterápicos, alimentos e biofluidos por RMN e métodos cromatográficos assistidos por análise quimiométrica. É Coordenadora do Programa Nacional Olimpíadas de Química, bem como da Olimpíada Cearense de Química (OCQ) e da Olimpíada Brasileira do Ensino Superior de Química (OBESQ). Foi Representante Regional da Associação de Usuários de Ressonância Magnética Nuclear (AUREMN) - Região Nordeste (2019-2022).
