Leonardo Afonso Amorim

Bacharel em Engenharia de Computação pela PUC-GO. Mestre em Ciência da Computação pela UFG com foco em Inteligência Computacional. Doutor em Ciência da Computação pela UFG com pesquisa sobre Processamento de Alto Desempenho (HPC) com aplicações em Processamento de Linguagem Natural (NLP). Também na UFG fez pesquisa sobre aplicação de Machine Learning para Reparo Automatizado de Software. Lecionou sobre Inteligência Artificial/Computacional para Engenharia de Computação na Universidade Federal de Goiás. Trabalhou como Engenheiro de Dados na 4Linux e Engenheiro de Machine Learning na Rankdone entre 2018 e 2021. Trabalhou com Especialista em Big Data Senior na Semantix. Atualmente, é Especislita em Big Data na Tecnisys. É professor de graduação e pós-graduação em Big Data e Machine Learning/Inteligência Artificial nas seguintes faculdades: PUC Goiás, Faculdade Sul Americana, IPOG,SENAI, SENAC. Possui as seguintes certificações em TI: LPIC-1, LPIC-2 e LPIC-3 Security (Linux Professional Institute), Novell Certified Linux Administrator (Suse Linux Enterprise), Hortonworks HDPCD (Hadoop Developer), Google GCP Data Engineer. Atualmente, faz pós-doutorado trabalhando com o tema de MLOps e Processamento de Linguagem Natural na Univerisidade Federal de Goiás em parceria com o CEIA (Centro de Excelência em Inteligência Artificial).

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from PUC-GO. I obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from UFG, specializing in Computational Intelligence. Additionally, I completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at UFG, focusing on High-Performance Computing (HPC) with applications in Natural Language Processing (NLP). During my time at UFG, I conducted research on the application of Machine Learning for Automated Software Repair. I also served as a lecturer in Artificial/Computational Intelligence for Computer Engineering at the Federal University of Goiás.In terms of professional experience, I worked as a Data Engineer at 4Linux and as a Machine Learning Engineer at Rankdone between 2018 and 2021. Subsequently, I held the position of Senior Big Data Specialist at Semantix. Currently, I am employed as a Big Data Specialist at Tecnisys. Furthermore, I teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Big Data and Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence at several institutions, including PUC Goiás, Faculdade Sul Americana, IPOG, SENAI, and SENAC.Regarding my IT certifications, I have obtained the LPIC-1, LPIC-2, and LPIC-3 Security certifications from the Linux Professional Institute. Additionally, I hold the Novell Certified Linux Administrator certification for Suse Linux Enterprise, the Hortonworks HDPCD certification for Hadoop Developer, and the Google GCP Data Engineer certification.Currently, I am pursuing a post-doctorate in collaboration with the CEIA (Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence) at the Federal University of Goiás. My research focus revolves around MLOps and Natural Language Processing.
