Vanilson André de Arruda Burégio

Possui graduação, mestrado e doutorado em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Iniciou como professor em 2001 e, desde então, vem ensinando em cursos de graduação, pós-graduação e especialização em diferentes instituições (e.g., UNIBRATEC, CIn-UFPE, CESAR.EDU, AESO, FBV) sobre diferentes disciplinas da Engenharia de Software, tais como Desenvolvimento de aplicações móveis, Engenharia de Software para a Web, Linguagens de Programação, Reuso e Linhas de Produtos de Software, Arquitetura e Testes de Sistemas, entre outras. Atualmente, Vanilson é Professor Adjunto do Departamento de Estatística e Informática (DEINFO) da Universidade Federeal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE). Profissionalmente, atuou como arquiteto de software no desenvolvimento de sistemas de informação para a Receita Federal do Brasil (no SERPRO), sistemas de administração financeira e tributária do Estado de Pernambuco (parceria SEFAZ-PE e Agência de Tecnologia da Informação de Pernambuco - ATI). Vanilson também trabalhou por seis anos no C.E.S.A.R. como engenheiro de sistemas em variados projetos de grande escala, utilizando principalmente a tecnologia Java; e atuou como líder técnico de projetos industriais como foco em reúso de software. Atualmente, participa de diferentes grupos nacionais e internacionais de pesquisa colaborativa, incluindo o Instituto Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia para Engenharia de Software (INES). Vanilson é Editor Chefe do "The International Journal of Information Technology and Web Engineering" e é membro revisor de eventos nacionais e internacionais. Seus interesses de pesquisa incluem engenharia de máquinas sociais, Enterprise 2.0, Internet das Coisas e Cidades inteligentes.

Vanilson is Associate Professor at in the Department of Statistics and Informatics at Unversidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco. He has MsC and PhD in Computer Science from Federal University of Pernambuco (cin.ufpe.br). As a researcher, he has been engaged in different projects with focus on Engineering and reuse of Social Machines, Scalable Software Architectures and Enterprise 2.0. As a professor, he has been teaching undergraduate, postgraduate and specialization courses at different institutions (e.g., CIn-UFPE, CESAR.EDU, AESO, FBV) on several subjects of Software Engineering such as Programming Languages, Software Engineering for the Web, Software Architecture, Object-Oriented Methodologies and Languages, Software Reuse and Product Lines, Component-based development, Software Testing and so on. Vanilson worked at SERPRO as Software Architect, where he has been involved in the development of Brazilian Federal Revenue Information Systems. He also worked as Systems Analyst at the Information Technology Agency of Pernambuco (ATI), where he was involved in the development of the Pernambuco Government Financial System. Vanilson had a six-year experience at C.E.S.A.R., in which he participated in the development of several large-scale Web-based Information Systems and industrial projects focused on software reuse. During this period he performed multiple roles such as P&D researcher, software architect, engineer, analyst and team leader. Vanilson is Managing Editor of "The International Journal of Information Technology and Web Engineering" e reviewer member of national and international journals and conferences. His research interests include social machines, enterprise 2.0, Internet of Things and Smart Cities.
