Alexsandro Lara Teixeira

Degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Master's and Doctorate in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the Universade Federal de Lavras.. He is a researcher at Embrapa Rondônia, where he leads research projects on genetic improvement of the coffee tree aimed at the development of new coffee cultivars for the Amazon region. He was Deputy Head of Research and Development and deputy general manager from 2017 to 2019, also working as President of the Internal Technical Committee and of the Local Publications Committee during that period. He is currently Executive Secretary of the Internal Technical Committee of Embrapa Rondônia and member of the Development Council of the State of Rondônia and of the Sectorial Chamber of Coffee.

Graduação em Engenharia Agronômica pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa, mestrado e doutorado em Genética e Melhoramento de Plantas pela Universidade Federal de Lavras. É pesquisador da Embrapa Rondônia, onde lidera projetos de pesquisa com melhoramento genético do cafeeiro voltados ao desenvolvimento de novas cultivares de café para a região Amazônica. Foi Chefe Adjunto de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento e substituto da chefia geral no período de 2017 a 2019, atuando também como Presidente do Comitê Técnico Interno e do Comitê Local de Publicações nesse período. Atualmente é Secretário Executivo do Comitê Técnico Interno da Embrapa Rondônia e membro do Conselho de Desenvolvimento do Estado de Rondônia e da Câmara Setorial do Café.
