Paulo Vicente Costa

Bachelor's at Veterinary Medicine from the Paraná State University (2003) with traineeship in reproduction of native fish in the Paraná River basin. Served as Technical Director of foods area in the supermarket Wal-Mart Brazil by Olpess Veterinary Advice. In 2004 was involved in the hatchery construction for Cobia / Beijupirá (Rachycentron canadum) reproduction in the Division of Marine Affairs at the University of Miami in Florida. In 2006 obtained a master's degree in Veterinary Sciences, Animal Production from the Paraná State University. During the Master has been involved as an independent researcher in the Integrated Group for Aquaculture and Environmental Studies - GIA participating in implementing the "Project Resettlement Crab" where he developed the production of larvae of mangrove crab and restocking of degraded mangrove areas. Also served in the coordination and execution of the project "Large Scale Production of Snook Fingerlings", performing works by hormonal induction spawning (HCG), maintenance and transportation of Snook fingerlings (Centropomus parallelus). Worked developing taxonomic classification and analysis of stomach contents of fish as part of the dissertation entitled "Predation of Crab Larvae (infraorder Brachyura) by Fish in the Rio Pinheiros, Guaratuba, Paraná, Brazil." Also in GIA, served in the capture, transport and maintenance of Cobia / Beijupirá (Rachycentron canadum) in laboratory conditions for breeding purposes and the "Valuation of Probable Effects of Filling the Reservoir Tijuco Alto on Fishing Production Manjuba Anchoviella lepidentostole (Fowler, 1911) in the Ribeira de Iguape River". From 2009 to 2014 he served in the Federal Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture in Santa Catarina, Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture Ministry - MPA as a veterinarian with attribution Sanitary Inspector of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Committee Member of Hygienic Sanitary Bivalve Molluscs of Santa Catarina, member of Working Group Orla Project Santa Catarina and counselor of the Extractive Reserve Pirajubaé in Florianópolis. During the activities participated of the demarcation, survey and bidding of aquaculture Marine Parks in Santa Catarina as a oversight of agreements relating to implementation of the National Programme for Health Hygienic Control of Mollusks Bivalves - PNCMB established between MPA and Integrated Agricultural Development Company of Santa Catherine - CIDASC, Signaling Program of Aquaculture Areas and Environmental Monitoring of Aquaculture Parks established between MPA and Agricultural Research and Rural Extension of Santa Catarina - EPAGRI. Currently acting as consultant for the General Coordination of Health of the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture - CGSAP / MPA hired by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation - FAO.

Graduou-se em Medicina Veterinária pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (2003) com estágio curricular em reprodução animal. Neste mesmo ano atuou como Responsável Técnico da área de alimentos de origem animal na rede de supermercados Wall-Mart do Brasil. Em 2004 acompanhou o início da construção do laboratório de reprodução de Cobia/Beijupirá (Rachycentron canadum) na Divisão de Assuntos Marinhos da Universidade de Miami na Florida/EUA. Em 2006 obteve título de mestre em Ciências Veterinárias, área de concentração Producão Animal pela Universidade Federal do Paraná. Durante o mestrado foi pesquisador autônomo no Grupo Integrado de Aquicultura e Estudos Ambientais - GIA participando da execução do Projeto de Repovoamento de Caranguejo-uçá e repovoamento de áreas degradadas de manguezal. Também atuou na coordenação do projeto Produção de Juvenis de Robalo-peva (Centropomus parallelus). De 2009 a 2014 atuou na Superintendência Federal de Pesca e Aquicultura - SFPA-SC do Ministério da Pesca e Aquicultura - MPA como Médico Veterinário com atribuição de Fiscal Sanitário da Pesca e Aquicultura, membro do Comitê Higiênico Sanitário de Moluscos Bivalves em Santa Catarina, do Grupo de Trabalho do Projeto Orla Santa Catarina e como Conselheiro da Reserva Extrativista do Pirajubaé em Florianópolis. Durante o período participou dos processos de demarcação, vistoria e licitação dos Parques Aquicolas Marinhos em Santa Catarina assim como na fiscalização de convênios. De setembro de 2014 à agosto de 2015 foi consultor da Organização das Nações Unidas para a Alimentação e a Agricultura - FAO. De 2014 a 2016 trabalhou como assessor técnico em rastreabilidade animal na Confederação da Agricultura e Pecuária do Brasil - CNA. De 2016 até o presente momento ocupa o cargo de Coordenador de Rastreabilidade Animal do Instituto CNA.
