Coordinator and researcher at the Laboratory of Experimental Neurosciences (LaNEx-UNISUL). He was deputy coordinator of the Physiotherapy course at UNISUL campus PB (2019). Graduated in Physiotherapy from UNISUL (2005), master's (2009) and doctorate (2013) in Neurosciences (Pain and inflammation) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). He completed a sandwich doctorate at the Hotchkiss Brain Institute in Calgary-AB, Canada (2012). He works in the graduation of the same university mainly in the courses of Medicine, Physiotherapy, Dentistry, Physical Education and Naturology. He is currently carrying out studies of the neurophysiological mechanisms of analgesia induced by physical exercise, electrical stimulation and photobiomodulation devices, manual therapy techniques, among other physical and integrative therapies. He has experience in the field of Physiotherapy with an emphasis on Physiology and Neuroscience, working mainly on issues related to Manual and Postural Therapy. It develops technological and innovative research in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pain and inflammation. He specifically works on the development and evaluation of the effectiveness of Smart Devices for the management of pain and inflammation. Nationally executes projects with the Santa Catarina companies Bionexus (Chapecó, SC) and NKL Equipamentos (Brusque, SC). Currently, he develops research in a national network coordinating an innovation project approved in the Support Program for Emerging Centers PRONEM FAPESC/CNPq involving several national research groups. In an international network: 1) In the United States, he acts as a Consultant in the project: Topological Atlas and Repository for Acupoint research (TARA).
