Ana Letícia Fauri

Ana Fauri has a PhD in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies from Brown University (2016), and a PhD in Literary Theory from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). She is a visiting lecturer for the UMass in Lisbon/A.P.I. and for the Study in Portugal Network (SiPN) study abroad programs. In August she will be joining the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Emory University as a Visiting Instructor of Portuguese.Her research focuses on literary and historical analysis of the Lusophone world, primarily developing questions related to the connections between ideology and discourse. The investigation done in literary and historical archives since 1995 resulted in her first dissertation, on Erico Verissimo?s political thought. She has co-authored the Portuguese language dictionary, DELP, and is currently editing a book based on her second dissertation and the investigation done at the National Archives at Torre do Tombo, which focuses on the repression mechanisms of the Portuguese New State and its opposition movements and resistance in literature.

Ana Leticia Fauri é doutora em Estudos Portugueses e Brasileiros, pela Brown University, de Providence, RI, EUA, e em Letras ? Teoria Literária, pela PUCRS de Porto Alegre, Brasil. Professora convidada nos programas acadêmicos luso-americanos Study in Portugal Network (FLAD), e UMass in Lisbon / API, em Lisboa, Portugal, será, a partir de agosto de 2017, professora visitante do programa de Português da Emory University, em Atlanta, GA. Seus principais interesses concentram-se nas áreas de literaturas lusófonas, teoria e crítica literária, especialmente nas discussões ligados à identidade, ideologia e memória literária, e o papel do arquivo na leitura de textos históricos e de ficção. Faz parte do grupo de investigadores do CLEPUL, iniciou a organização do acervo do historiador brasilianista Thomas Skidmore e o do escritor Luís Fernando Verissimo, e integrou o grupo de pesquisa do Acervo Literário de Erico Verissimo, entre 1996 a 2006. Prepara neste momento a edição da sua segunda tese de doutorado, sobre a influência da censura e da repressão na produção literária portuguesa durante o Estado Novo.
