Graduado em Medicina pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (1972), mestrado em Saúde da Criança e do Adolescente pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (1980) e doutorado em Saúde da Criança e do Adolescente pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1994). É especialista em Alergia Clínica pela State University of New York. Atualmente é professor titular de Pediatria da Universidade Federal do Paraná, revisor e corpo editorial de vários peródicos e Membro da diretoria da Socidedade Brasileira de Pediatria e da Associação Brasileira de Alergia e Imunologia (ASBAI). Membro da Academia Brasileira de Pediatria e Presidente Vitalício da ASBAI. Bolsista de Produtividade do CNPq Nível 1-D.Tem experiência na área de Medicina, com ênfase em Alergologia e Imunologia Clínica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: asma, alergia, rinite, fibrose cistica e imunoterapia..
Nelson Rosario Filho MD, PhD , FAAAAI,FACAAI, is member of the Board of Directors, the World Allergy Organization. He is Full Professor of Pediatrics at Federal University of Parana, Curitiba, Brazil (UFPR )and Chairman of Division of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology and Pneumology, Hospital de Clinicas, University of Parana. Currrently he is head of a 2- year fellowship program in Pediiatric Allergy and Immunology (UFPR) and trained more than 40 specialists. He was graduated in Medicine in 1972 at UFPR . After finishing his residency in Pediatrics he took a 2-year Fellowship in Allergy at Buffalo General Hospital and Buffalo Children?s Hospital, State University of New York, Buffalo, NY, USA. Returning to Brazil he earned a Doctorate Degree from the University of Campinas, Campinas, Brazil.
He collaborated with the establishment of Brazilian Society of Pediatrics Foundation, the Post-Graduate Course, Doctorate in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at UFPR, a residency Program in Pediatric Pumonology, and a Residency Program in Pediatric Allergy and immunology.
Prof.Rosario Filho was President of the Brazilian Association of Allergy and Immunopathology, Vice-President of Brazilian Society of Pediatrics and Vice-President of Latin American Society of Allergy and Immunology, Board member of World Allergy organization, Vice-President Global Asthma Network-Interasma. He serves on numerous scientific committees of several International, National and Regional medical associations.
Prof. Rosario Filho has delivered numerous lectures nationally and Internationally. He is Associate Editor of several peer-reviewed journals, published more than 300 papers as author or co-author, edited 2 books (in Portuguese), consensus documents and numerous book chapters.
His primary interest is in clinical practice of allergy, teaching medical and post-graduate students and residents, leading clinical research team and delivering the best care to allergy patients.
