Prof. Dr. Celso Reni Braida

Full Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. He holds a degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy of Sciences and Letters Immaculate Conception (1987), Masters in Philosophy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1992) and PhD in Philosophy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (2001). Member of the research groups "Nucleus of Metaphysical Investigations" (Ufsc), "Origins of Contemporary Philosophy" (PUCSP) and the GT Philosophy Hermeneutics (ANPOF). Has experience in the areas of Ontology, Philosophy of Language and Philosophy of Art, with emphasis in semantic and ontological analyzes, and researches the themes: ontology of artistic objects and technical artifacts, semantic theories, analytics of basic ontological categories, predication theory, hermeneutical theories of understanding.

Possui graduação em Filosofia Licenciatura Plena pela Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras Imaculada Conceição (1987), mestrado em Filosofia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1992) e doutorado em Filosofia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2001). Atualmente é professor titular da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Tem experiência na área de Filosofia, com ênfase em Ontologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: semântica, linguagem, ontologia, filosofia e arte. Autor dos livros Ensaios Semânticos (2009), Exercícios de Desilusão (2012), Filosofia e Linguagem (2013), Sentido e Significatividade (2021) e Atos e Artefatos (2022).
