Carlos Ricardo Trein

Graduado em Agronomia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS (1976), mestrado em Agronomia/Ciência do Solos pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1988) e doutorado em Engenharia Agrícola - University of Cranfield (1995). Atuou como profissional de planejamento e implantação de projetos agropecuários no Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais e Mato Grosso. Foi Coordenador do Projeto Piloto Da Campo-Cosuel (Prodecer) em 1980. De 1981 a 1984 Trabalhou na Cooperativa Avícola Vale do Taquari, tendo sido responsável pela atualização do setor de fomento agropecuário, administração do abatedouro e departamento de Assistência Técnica ao Cooperado, Em 1985 inicia suas atividades como professor na Faculdade de Agronomia da UFRGS. Atualmente é professor titular (aposentado) da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Agrícola, com ênfase em Integração Lavoura Pecuária, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: semeadura direta, condições físicas do solo, cobertura do solo, compactação do solo e manejo de solo. Foi professor responsável pelas disciplinas de Mecanização Agrícola, Tratores e seus Motores e Planejamento Agronômico integrado, do curso de graduação em Agronomia. Foi orientador no Curso de Pós-graduação em Ciência do Solo, onde foi responsável pela disciplina de Dinâmica de Solos. Assumiu a direção da Estação Experimental Agronômica da URGS em 2000, cargo que ocupou ate 2008. Foi coordenador da Comissão de Extensão da Faculdade de Agronomia em 2013 e membro da Câmara de Extensao da UFRGS em 2015. Aposentado da UFRGS em 2016, assumiu a Secretaria de Agricultura do Munícipio de Arroio dos Ratos acumulando a Secretaria do Meio Ambiente em 2017. Estes cargos foram exercidos ate o inicio de 2018.

From 1981 to 1984 He worked at Cooperativa Avícola Vale do Taquari, having been responsible for updating the agricultural promotion sector, abattoir administration and technical assistance department to the Cooperative, In 1985 he began his activities as a professor at the Faculty of Agronomy of UFRGS. He is currently a full professor (retired) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has experience in agricultural engineering, with emphasis on Livestock Farming Integration, working mainly on the following topics: no-tillage, soil physical conditions, soil cover, soil compaction and soil management. He was professor responsible for the disciplines of Agricultural Mechanization, Tractors and their Engines and Integrated Agronomic Planning, of the undergraduate course in Agronomy. He was a tutor in the Postgraduate Course in Soil Science, where he was responsible for the discipline of Soil Dynamics. He took over the direction of the Agronomic Experimental Station of URGS in 2000, a position he held until 2008. He was coordinator of the Extension Committee of the Faculty of Agronomy in 2013 and member of the Chamber of Extensao of UFRGS in 2015.Retired from UFRGS in 2016, he took over the Department of Agriculture of the Municipality of Arroio dos Ratos, accumulating the Secretariat of the Environment in 2017. These positions were held until the beginning of 2018.
