Eduardo Ferreira Borba Neto

Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo in 1987. Master's (1995) and Doctorate (1999) in Medicine - Rheumatology - from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (CAPES 7). He completed Free Teaching at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo in 2009. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the USP [MS5] (since 2009) and Research Productivity Scholarship of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) since 2009. Member of the Board of the Department of Clinical Medicine at Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP (since 2012) and member of the Technical Administrative Board (CTA) of the Faculty of Medicine of USP (2015-2017 biennium). He is responsible for Disciplines in FMUSP Graduation (MCM0668 - Autoimmune Diseases in Rheumatology, 0500058 - Clinical and Surgical Medicine I, 6700005 - Locomotor System I and 6700011 - Immune, Hematological and Rheumatological Systems) and for Disciplines in the Graduate Program Strictu Senso da FMUSP in Sciences of the Musculoskeletal System (MOT5743 - Writing your scientific article and MOT5742 - Application of scientific methodology in research on the locomotor system). Author of 206 complete articles published in international/national journals (PubMed) - currently has an H index = 37, having received several awards. Completed the supervision of 15 doctorates and 2 masters. He was Scientific Director (2012-2013 biennium) and President of the Paulista Society of Rheumatology - SPR (2016-2017 biennium), and Honorary Member of this Society since 2017. He is currently Member of the SPR Advisory Board (since 2017) and Member of the Scientific Committee of the São Paulo Society of Rheumatology (2022-2023 biennium). He was Scientific Director of the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology (2009-2010 biennium) and President of the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Commission (2007-2008 and 2015-2020 biennium), and is currently a Member of the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Commission (2022-2024 biennium ) and Member of the SBR Research Unit (2022-2024). He is a member of the Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology (PANLAR), of the Latin American Group of Lupus Studies (GLADEL), of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR - Colegio Americano de Reumatologia), of the Lupus Nephritis Trials Network (LNTN), of the OMERACT group, in addition to the Paulista and Brazilian Societies of Rheumatology. He was a member of the Editorial Board of the Revista Brasileira de Reumatologia (1999 to 2017) and was Associate Editor of the Revista Paulista de Reumatologia (2016 to 2021). He is currently Associate Editor of the Revista da Associação Médica Brasileira (since 2012), and Member of the Editorial Board of ISRN Rheumatology (since 2013), of the International Scholarly Research Notices (since 2014), of the Journal of Dermatological Research (since 2016), of Clinics (2017), Advances in Rheumatology (2018), Journal of Immunology Research (2018), and Revista da Sociedade Brasileira de Clínica Médica (2021). He is an ad hoc consultant for the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), the State of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), the Lupus Foundation of America, the Espírito Santo Research Foundation (FAPES) and Ad hoc reviewer of 57 international journals. He has experience in Internal Medicine, with emphasis on Rheumatology, working mainly with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Atherosclerosis and Dyslipoproteinemia in Rheumatological Diseases.

Foi Diretor Científico da Sociedade Brasileira de Reumatologia (biênio 2009-2010) e Presidente da Comissão de Lupus Eritematoso Sistemico (bienio 2007-2008 e de 2015-2020), sendo que atualmente é Membro da Comissão de Lupus Eritematoso Sistemico (bienio 2022-2024) e Membro da Unidade de Pesquisa da SBR (2022-2024). Tem experiência em Clínica Médica, com ênfase em Reumatologia, atuando principalmente com Lúpus Eritematoso Sistêmico, Aterosclerose e Dislipoproteinemias em Doenças Reumatológicas.
