Mario Andrés Mejía Alzate

He received the title of Electrical Engineer in December 2014 from the Technological University of Pereira (UTP). He obtained a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering in December 2016, from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), Campus Ilha Solteira-SP, together with the electrical power systems planning laboratory (LaPSEE). He received the title of doctor in electrical engineering, in July 2021, also by UNESP, Campus Ilha Solteira-SP, together with LaPSEE. His areas of interest include spatial forecasting of energy demand, optimization of energy distribution systems, and electricity markets. The main competencies and skills developed include leadership in teamwork and people management, positive attitude and management for decision-making in solving complex problems, creativity and initiative to innovate processes and routines, ability to follow instructions and adapt to dynamic work environments. He has experience in the development of research projects related to the spatial forecasting of demand and optimization of energy systems. In addition, he has experience in the design and interpretation of residential, commercial, industrial, and lighting electrical installation projects, as well as in the automation of industrial processes using programmable logic controllers.

Possui graduação em engenharia elétrica - Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (2014), mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2016) e doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2021). Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Transmissão da Energia Elétrica, Distribuição da Energia Elétrica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: previsão espacial da carga, sistemas de informação geográfica, distribution network expansion planning, planejamento da expansão das redes elétricas e planejamento de sistemas de distribuição de energi.
