Ana Carolina Mattiuci Figueiredo

Atualmente é pesquisadora pósdoc no Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE), onde começou como bolsista PCI no projeto SPARC4 e segue contribuindo para o mesmo na criação de uma pipeline voltada a redução fotométrica e polarimética de objetos estelares. Recentemente, passou a colaborar com um grupo de variáveis cataclísmicas que é uma parceria entre o INPE e a UNIVAP. Atua ainda no grupo Stellar Evolution & Exopanetology Team - SEET, onde lidera uma pesquisa sobre rotação de anãs-M. É licenciada em física pelo Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte - IFRN (2012), mestre em Física pela Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte - UERN (2015) e doutora em Física pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN (2021). Tanto no mestrado como no doutorado, pesquisou sobre sistemas binários e efeito de maré, incluindo a determinação da rotação de componentes dos sistemas. Ainda em 2015 atuou como professora substituta na UFRN.

She is currently a postdoc researcher at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), where she started as a PCI fellow in the SPARC4 project and continues to contribute to the same by creating a pipeline aimed at photometric and polarimetic reduction of stellar objects. Recently, she started collaborating with a cataclysmic variable group which is a partnership between INPE and UNIVAP. She also works on the Stellar Evolution & Exopanetology Team-SEET group, where she leads research on M-dwarf rotation. She has a degree in Physics from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte - IFRN (2012), a Master's degree in Physics from the State University of Rio Grande do Norte - UERN (2015) and a PhD in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN (2021). In both her master's and doctoral studies, she did research on binary systems and tidal effects, including determining the rotation of system components. Still in 2015 she acted as a substitute professor at UFRN.
