Hélsio Amiro Motany de Albuquerque Azevedo

Associate Professor. He works in the Department of Education in Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the Faculty of Education and in the Department of Tourism at the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Inhambane (ESHTI) at the Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique. He holds a PhD in Geography from the Institute of Socio-Environmental Studies of the Federal University of Goiás. Master in Environmental Planning and Management from the Catholic University of Brasília (2009). Graduated in Tourism from Eduardo Mondlane University (2006). He is currently Director of ESHTI. He served as Deputy Director for Research and Extension and Director of the Tourism Market Management Course. He was a CAPES scholarship holder in the PEC-PG program (Doctorate) and a CNPq scholarship holder (Masters). He is currently a member of the Research Group on Communication and the City (Citicom-UFMT), the Espaço, Sujeito e Existence Group (IESA-UFG) and the Tourism Research Group during a pandemic period (USP). He works in teaching, research and extension in the areas of knowledge about tourism, environment and geography. He is an ad hoc environmental consultant and member of the editorial board of several journals.

Professor Associado. Actua no Departamento de Educação em Ciências Naturais e Matemática da Faculdade de Educação e no Departamento de Turismo da Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo de Inhambane (ESHTI) na Universidade Eduardo Mondlane em Moçambique. É doutor em Geografia pelo Instituto de Estudos Socioambientais da Universidade Federal de Goiás. Mestre em Planejamento e Gestão Ambiental pela Universidade Católica de Brasília (2009). Licenciado em Turismo pela Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (2006). Actualmente é Director da ESHTI. Actuou como Director Adjunto de Pesquisa e Extensão e Director do Curso de Gestão de Mercado de Turismo. Foi bolsista CAPES no programa PEC-PG (Doutorado) e bolsista CNPq (Mestrado). Actualmente é membro do Grupo de Pesquisa Comunicação e Cidade (Citicom-UFMT), do Grupo Espaço, Sujeito e Existência (IESA-UFG) e do Grupo de Pesquisa em Turismo em Período Pandêmico (USP). Actua no ensino, pesquisa e extensão nas áreas do conhecimento sobre turismo, meio ambiente e geografia. É consultor ambiental ad hoc e membro do conselho editorial de várias revistas.
