Eduardo Nobre Lages

Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL), with master's degree (1992) and doctorate (1997) in Civil Engineering, by the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). He is currently Full Professor at the Technology Center (CTEC), Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL). He is a permanent lecturer in the Post-Graduate Program in Civil Engineering (PPGEC / CTEC / UFAL) and researcher/coordinator of the Laboratory of Scientific Computing and Visualization (LCCV / CTEC / UFAL). In partnership with Prof. Dr. Adeildo Soares Ramos Júnior, is a leader in the research group "Computational Mechanics of Structures and Materials", registered at the DGP / CNPq since 2000. Since March 2014, he is Research Productivity Scholar at CNPq - Level 2 - CA EC - Civil Engineering. He has already had several academic / scientific management / representation experiences, including: Chief of the Department of Structural Engineering (EES/CTEC/UFAL), Scientific Advisor of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Alagoas (FAPEAL), Coordinator of the Undergraduate Civil Engineering Course (CCEC/CTEC/UFAL), Coordinator of the Post-Graduate Program in Civil Engineering (PPGEC/CTEC/UFAL) and Member of the Structuring Faculty of the Civil Engineering Course (NDE/CCEC/CTEC/UFAL). He has experience in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Computational Mechanics of Structures and Materials, working mainly on the following topics: numerical methods, finite elements, finite-volume theiry, solids mechanics and nonlinear analysis of structures.

Natural de Maceió/AL, bacharel (1989) em Engenharia Civil pela Universidade Federal de Alagoas (UFAL), com mestrado (1992) e doutorado (1997) em Engenharia Civil, ambos na área de concentração Estruturas, pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ). Atualmente é Professor Titular, lotado no Centro de Tecnologia (CTEC), da Universidade Federal de Alagoas (UFAL). É docente permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Civil (PPGEC/CTEC/UFAL) e pesquisador/coordenador do Laboratório de Computação Científica e Visualização (LCCV/CTEC/UFAL). Em parceria com o Prof. Dr. Adeildo Soares Ramos Júnior, é líder do grupo de pesquisa 'Mecânica Computacional de Estruturas e Materiais', cadastrado no DGP/CNPq desde 2000. Desde 01/03/2014 é Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa do CNPq - CA EC - Engenharia Civil. Já teve várias experiências de gestão/representação acadêmica/científica, com destaque para: Chefe do Departamento de Engenharia Estrutural (EES/CTEC/UFAL), Assessor Científico da Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de Alagoas (FAPEAL), Coordenador do Curso de Graduação em Engenharia Civil (CCEC/CTEC/UFAL), Coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Civil (PPGEC/CTEC/UFAL) e Membro do Núcleo Docente Estruturante do Curso de Engenharia Civil (NDE/CCEC/CTEC/UFAL). Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Civil, com ênfase em Mecânica Computacional de Estruturas e Materiais, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: métodos numéricos, elementos finitos, teoria de volumes finitos, mecânica dos sólidos e análise não linear de estruturas.
