Ben-Hur Ferraz Neto

Graduated in Medicine from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1987), Master in Surgery from the State University of Campinas (1992), PhD in Surgery from the State University of Campinas and University of Birmingham (1995), MBA in Health Management from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2004), Free Teaching in Surgery from the University of São Paulo (2008) and MBA in Health Tech from FIAP (2019). From 2005 to 2012, he worked at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, being responsible for the Organ Transplant Program (2005-2010) and the Liver Transplant Program (2010-2012), leading this institution to perform over 800 liver transplants. In 2013, he founded the Liver Institute at Real and Benemérita Beneficência Portuguesa. Has experience in Medicine, focusing on Hepatobiliopancreatic Surgery, acting on the following subjects: liver transplantation, organ procurement, organ donation and resource management. Acts in the area of ​​surgery of the liver, biliary and pancreas, in addition to liver transplantation.Consultant Surgeon at Liver and Hepatobiliary Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England, 2014-2015. Advisor of startup +60 health between 2017 and 2019.In 2018, I attended the Singularity University Executive Program in Silicon Valley and I come, along with my activities as a liver, pancreas and biliary surgeon, dedicating myself to health technology as a new way to help more people getting health.

Entre 2005 e 2012, atuou no Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein sendo responsável pelo Programa de Transplante de Órgãos (2005-2010) e do Programa de Transplante Hepático (2010-2012), liderando nessa instituição a realização de mais de 800 transplantes hepáticos. Em 2013, fundou o Instituto do Fígado na Real e Benemérita Beneficência Portuguesa. Tem experiência na área de Medicina, com ênfase em Cirurgia Hepatobiliopancreática, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: transplante de fígado, captação de órgãos, doação de órgãos e gestão de recursos. Atua na área de cirurgia do fígado, vias biliares e pâncreas, além do transplante de fígado.Consultant Surgeon na Liver and Hepatobiliary Unit no Queen Elizabeth Hospital em Birmingham na Inglaterra entre os anos de 2014-2015. Conselheiro da startup +60 saúde entre 2017 e 2019.Em 2018, cursei o Executive Program da Singularity University no Vale do Silício e venho, juntamente com as minhas atividades como cirurgião de fígado, pâncreas e vias biliares, me dedicando a tecnologia na área da saúde como uma nova forma de ajudar um maior número de pessoas a obter saúde.
