She holds a degree and a master's degree in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Viçosa, and a PhD in Bioinformatics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (with a sandwich period at the NIH - National Institute of Health, Bethesda, United States). She had professional experience in Bioinformatics (postdoctoral) at the Gene Center at Ludwig Maximilian München University, Germany, and at the Center for Computational Biology at the Cancer and Genomic Sciences Institute at the University of Birmingham, England, as visiting researcher.
She works in the field of Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, with an emphasis on omics integration and application of artificial intelligence techniques in the cancer biology and aging.

Teve experiência profissional em Bioinformática (pós-doutorado) no Gene Center at Ludwig Maximilian München University, Alemanha e no Center for Computational Biology at the Cancer and Genomic Sciences Institute da University of Birmingham, Inglaterra, como Pesquisador Visitante.
Atua na área de Bioinformática, Biologia Molecular e Bioquímica, com ênfase em análise e integração de diferentes ômicas, como genômica, epigenômica e transcriptômica e aplicação de técnicas de inteligência artificial na biologia do câncer e do envelhecimento.
