Marcio Augusto de Deus

Doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade de Brasilia onde também concluiu o Mestrado na mesma área. Possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade de Pernambuco. Atua como engenheiro em projetos e planejamento de redes de telecomunicações fixas, móveis e longa distância por cabos submarinos. É responsável por projetos de redes de telecomunicações em diversos países da América do Sul e Estados Unidos. Foi professor no Departamento de Engenharia Elétrica da Universidade de Brasilia e atualmente é professor e pesquisador do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Brasília. Possui interesse nas áreas e tecnologias associadas: Internet, IP, MPLS, LTE, BGP; IS-IS; OSPF; Next Generation Optical Transport Network(NG-OTN); GMPLS; Submarine cables; Software Defined Networks (SDN); Traffic Characterization; Self-similar & Multifractal Models; Erlang (Poisson Models); Effective Bandwidth; Network Analisys; Computer Network; Planning; Decision-Making; Smart Network Management; Optical Burst Switching(OBS); Optical Packet Switching (OPS); modelamento e análise de desempenho de buffers.

PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Brasilia where he also completed a master's degree in the same area. He holds a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pernambuco. Acts as an engineer in projects and planning of fixed telecommunications networks, mobile and long distance for submarine cables. Is responsible for telecommunication networks projects in several countries of South America and United States. Former Electrical Engineering Dept. at University of Brasilia Lectureur. Is also a professor and researcher of Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia in Brasília.
