Mariane Bertagnolli

Graduated in Physiotherapy from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2002), Master in Biological Sciences (Physiology) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2004) and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Physiology) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2008). She has postdoctoral trainings at the Institute of Cardiology of Porto Alegre (2009), CHU Sainte-Justine, Université de Montréal (2010-2014) and John Radcliffe Hospital, University of Oxford (2016-2017). She is currently Assistant Professor of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University, Montreal, Canada, as well as Researcher and Principal Investigator of the Laboratory of Maternal and Child Health at the Hospital Sacré-Coeur in Montreal, CIUSSS du Nord-de -l'Île-de-Montréal, and Associate Investigator at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC). She has experience in the field of Physiotherapy, with an emphasis on Cardiovascular and Exercise Physiology, acting on the following topics: Hypertension, Oxidative Stress, Exercise, Renin-Angiotensin System, Angiogenesis, Preeclampsia, Prematurity, Placental Biology.

Possui graduação em Fisioterapia pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2002), mestrado em Ciências Biológicas (Fisiologia) pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2004) e doutorado em Ciências Biológicas (Fisiologia) pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2008). Realizou pós-doutorados no Instituto de Cardiologia de Porto Alegre (2009), CHU Sainte-Justine, Université de Montréal (2010-2014) e John Radcliffe Hospital, University of Oxford (2016-2017). Atualmente é Professora Assistente em Fisioterapia Cardiopulmonar na School of Physical and Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University, Montreal, Canada, Pesquisadora e Investigadora Principal do Laboratório de Saúde Materno-Infantil no Hospital Sacré-Coeur de Montreal, CIUSSS du Nord-de-l'Île-de-Montréal e Investigadora Associada ao Research Institute da McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC). Tem experiência na área de Fisioterapia, com ênfase em Fisiologia Cardiovascular e do Exercício, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Hipertensão, Estresse oxidativo, Exercício, Sistema Renina-Angiotensina, Angiogênese, Pré-eclâmpsia, Prematuridade, Biologia placentária.
