Robson da Costa

Graduated in Pharmacy & Biochemistry (2006) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and Masters (2009) and PhD (2013) in Pharmacology from the same institution. Postdoctoral (2013-2014) in the Institute of Medical Biochemistry at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Postdoctoral (2017-2019) in the Wolson Center for Age-related Diseases at King's College London (London, UK), where he also worked as a Newton International Fellow (Newton Fund/The Royal Society) (between 01/2018 - 12/2019). He is currently an Assistant Professor II in the School of Pharmacy of UFRJ, where he is a supervisor in the Postgraduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences (PPGCF). Has experience in Pharmacology, focusing on Pharmacology of inflammation and pain, acting on the following areas: neuropathic pain, inflammatory pain, joint pain, pruritus, GPCRs and TRP channels. Possui graduação em Farmácia & Bioquímica (2006) pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) e Mestrado (2009) e Doutorado (2013) em Farmacologia pela mesma instituicao. Realizou Pós-doutorado (2013-2014) no Instituto de Bioquímica Médica na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Brasil). Realizou Pós-doutorado (entre 08/2017-12/2019) no Wolson Centre for Age-related Diseases no King?s College London (Londres, Reino Unido), onde atuou como Newton International Fellow (Newton Fund/The Royal Society) (entre 01/2018 - 12/2019). Atualmente é Professor Adjunto IV da Faculdade de Farmácia da UFRJ, onde atua como orientador no Programa de Pós-graduação em Ciências Farmacêuticas (PPGCF). Tem experiência na área de Farmacologia, com ênfase em Farmacologia da inflamação e dor, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: dor neuropática, dor inflamatória, dor articular, prurido, GPCRs e canais TRP.
