Juan Bory Reyes

Juan Bory Reyes received a diploma degree in mathematics from University of Oriente, Cuba in 1982, PhD degree in mathematics and Habilitation from the same university in 1988, 2008 respectively. Since 1982 he is professor for analytic geometry and complex analysis at University of Oriente. Fellow of the Cuban Academic of Sciences, since 2006. Emeritus-Member of the Cuban Society of Mathematics and Computation.As leader of the Cuban Research Group in Clifford analysis, he was the PhD thesis's promoter of the other three members of the research group. His main interests are function theory and functional analysis for functions with values in quaternion and Clifford algebras. The research covers Clifford Cauchy transforms; Riemann boundary values problems and reconstruction of first order linear partial differential equations solutions in complex, hypercomplex and Clifford analysis.On January 22, 2011, the State Council of the Republic of Cuba has granted him the "Carlos J. Finlay" Order, greatest national decoration awarded for a highly excellent contribution in the field of the Natural or Social Sciences, to carry out with exceptional rigor a scientific work of high level, in function and service of the most remarkable and better interests in the society. Juan Bory Reyes has produced a number of articles in cooperation with collaborators from Cuba, Belgium, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Spain and Chile, which shows the value of the maintained investigations. His contribution to the development of the Clifford Analysishas become a standard reference, the scientific impact of his research results may be estimate by 50 citations in papers and one book by 28 international specialists in the area of Clifford analysis.In addition, Bory Reyes has established connection with specialist in the area of applied mathematics (mathematical models of biological processes); in particular, cancer, where his approach provide elegant and deep results.
