Markley Silva Oliveira Junior

I started my career working with plant extract/ phytomolecules acquisiton/production/manufacturing (Pipper nigrum, Chrysin, Piperin, Resveratrol) within a collaboration of the Pharmacy Faculty of the Federal University of Bahia, Salvador and Faculdade Nobre (FAN), Feira de Santana. At that time my research focused onto the antibacterial/antifungic activity of Resveratrol. In 2016, I obtained my bachelor's (BSC) in Biomedicine/Biomedical Sciences at FAN. My master's philosophy degress was issued by the Immunology Post-graduate program at the Federal University of Bahia. I investigated the role of Lupeol in neuroinflammation in-vitro models. I have a Ph.D. in Biology (Magna Cumme Laude), Henrich Heine University;University Clinic Dusseldorf, Germany; I investigated Neuroregeneration/remyelination strategies in demyelination models (cuprizone), observing the potential of syntetic drugs (Novartis) and phytopharmaceuticals (Resveratrol, Lupeol, Agathysflavone) to reverse this process through Neural Stem cells stimulation and glial hererogeneity modulation.
