José Augusto Mannis

Faculty of Industrial Engineering (FEI) (Electrical Engineering), Arts Institute of UNESP (IAP) (Composition), Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) (Electroacoustic Music Composition and Music Research) Master in Music - Université de Paris VIII (1988) and Doctorate in Music - University of Campinas (UNICAMP) (2008). Post-doctorate at the Postgraduate Program in Contemporary Studies of the Arts - PPGCA at the Institute of Art and Social Communication at the Fluminense Federal University - UFF, in Niterói, RJ. He is currently a Full Professor at the Institute of Arts of the State University of Campinas. He has experience in the field of Arts, with emphasis on Music, working mainly in the following fields: contemporary music, composition (music) - 20th and 21st centuries, sonology (music), acoustics, audio engineering. He develops research and interdisciplinary activities covering radio, bioacoustics, room acoustics, musical acoustics, musical documentation, creative processes and musical education. Idealizer and responsible for the Laboratory of Acoustics and Sound Arts - LASom, in the Depto. of Music at Arts Inst / Unicamp. Collaborating Researcher at the Laboratory of Signals, Multimedia and Telecommunications COPPE / Poli-UFRJ working with the team of Prof. Dr. Luiz Wagner Biscainho and member of the research group Rhythm, body and sound - UFRJ led by Prof. Dr. Rodolfo Caesar and Prof. Dr. Marcelo Carneiro de Lima. He is Faculty MA III at State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He has experience in Arts, with emphasis in Music, acting on the following themes: contemporary music, composition (music), sonology (music). Develops research and activities in interdisciplinary areas such as audio engineering, bioacoustics, acoustic applied to music and environmental comfort, musical documentation, creative processes and musical education.Founder and head of the Laboratory of Acoustics and Sound Arts - LASom, Music Department, IA / Unicamp. Currently in post-doctorate at the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos Contemporâneos das Artes ? PPGCA at the Instituto de Arte e Comunicação Social - Universidade Federal Fluminense - UFF, Niterói, RJ.

Pós-doutorado junto ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos Contemporâneos das Artes ? PPGCA no Instituto de Arte e Comunicação Social na Universidade Federal Fluminense ? UFF, em Niterói, RJ. Atualmente é professor Titular no Instituto de Artes da Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Música, atuando principalmente nos seguintes domínios: música contemporânea, composição (música)-séculos XX e XXI, sonologia (música), acústica, engenharia de áudio. Desenvolve pesquisas e atividades interdisciplinares abrangendo rádio, bioacústica, acústica de salas, acústica musical, documentação musical, processos criativos e educação musical. Idealizador e responsável pelo Laboratório de Acústica e Artes Sonoras - LASom, no Depto. de Música do IA/Unicamp. Pesquisador Colaborador junto ao Laboratório de Sinais, Multimídia e Telecomunicações COPPE/Poli-UFRJ trabalhando com a equipe do Prof. Dr. Luiz Wagner Biscainho e integrante do grupo de pesquisa Ritmo, corpo e som - UFRJ liderado por Prof. Dr. Rodolfo Caesar e Prof. Dr. Marcelo Carneiro de Lima.
