Marcelo Viana Ramos

Adjunct Professor, with an academic background in Geography and more than 20 years of experience, dedicated to higher education in the areas of Human Geography and Geography Applied to the Development of Tourism, in presecial teaching and also in the distance modality. Graduated in Geography (Licentiate) by UESB -BA, Master in Geography and Human Organization of Space by IGC/UFMG. He also took a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning-IPPUR / UFRJ (unfinished) and is currently studying for a PhD in Intercultural Relations at UAB-Portugal. As a professor at the Federal University of Ouro Preto, he continues to work with emphasis on studies of the production of tourist spaces in the context of the relationship between Space Production, Culture and Identities. At UFOP he worked for 08 years as coordinator of the Tourism Course (02 different periods), and currently follows as Coordinator of the Estrututante Teaching Nucleus-NDE-of that course. He is responsible for the Tourism Research and Development Laboratory, with emphasis on Research and Extension projects, in the areas of Space Production, Planning and Social Inclusion, Education and Qualification in Ouro Preto and other regions. Over the last few years, he has been developing teaching, research and extension activities, focused on the relationship between Space Production and Identity, envisioning the analysis of new forms of investigation and interpretation of social and cultural impacts in different spaces.

Professor Adjunto, com formação em Geografia e mais de 20 anos de experiência, dedicados ao ensino superior nas áreas de Geografia Humana e Geografia Aplicada ao Desenvolvimento do Turismo, no ensino presencial e também na modalidade à distância. Graduado em Geografia (Licenciatura) pela UESB -BA, Mestre em Geografia e Organização Humana do Espaço pelo IGC/UFMG. Também cursou Doutoramento em Planejamento Urbano e Regional - IPPUR/UFRJ (inconcluso) e atualmente encontra-se cursando o Doutorado em Relações Interculturais pela UAB - Portugal. Como professor do quadro efetivo da Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto, segue atuando com ênfase nos estudos de produção de espaços turísticos no contexto da relação entre Produção do Espaço, Cultura e Identidades. Na UFOP atuou por 08 anos como coordenador do Curso de Turismo (02 períodos distintos), e segue atualmente como Coordenador do Núcleo Docente Estrututante - NDE - do referido curso. É responsável pelo Laboratório de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento em Turismo, com destaque para projetos de Pesquisa e Extensão, nas áreas de Produção do Espaço, Planejamento e Inclusão Social, Educação e Qualificação em Ouro Preto e em outras regiões. Ao longo dos últimos anos, vem desenvolvendo atividades de ensino, pesquisa e extensão, focados na relação entre Produção do Espaço e Identidade, vislumbrando a análise de novas formas de investigação e interpretação de impactos sociais e culturais em diferentes espaços.
