Beatriz da Silva Takahashi

Based on a multidisciplinary education, which includes a Bachelor in Architecture and Urban Planning (São Paulo State University, Brazil) and a Master in Art History, Heritage and Visual Culture (University of Porto, Portugal), Beatriz aligns her research with professional practices for architecture, urban planning, heritage, industrial heritage. An example of her work, which gathers the referred fields, consists in the final thesis «Architecture in span - Internship at Casa da Arquitectura (Matosinhos)». This one is responsible for debating the relations between national identity with Brazilian architecture and culture along the 20th century, the current mediation practices and, finally, the rehabilitation of industrial heritage for cultural purposes. Furthermore, she is particularly interested in crossing the gathered knowledge with different urban, architecture and cultural contexts. Currently, she is a collaborator researcher at The CITCEM - Transdisciplinary Research Centre «Culture, Space and Memory» and also integrates the team of the Educational Service at Casa da Arquitectura ? Portuguese Centre for Architecture.

Mestre em História da Arte, Patrimônio e Cultura Visual pela Universidade do Porto (Portugal) (2019), Bacharel em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (Brasil) (2017), investigadora colaboradora do CITCEM - Centro de Investigação Transdisciplinar «Cultura, Espaço e Memória». Alinha sua formação multidisciplinar à pesquisa em diferentes práticas da arquitetura, dos estudos em curadoria, coleções, patrimônio e mediação cultural. Particular interesse nas relações entre a identidade nacional com a arquitetura e a cultura brasileiras ao longo do século XX, práticas de mediação e, por fim, a cultura visual.
