Lorena Izá Pereira

Geographer and professor of Geography at the Faculty of Science and Technology - Universidade Estadual Paulista (FCT/UNESP) (2015). PhD from the Graduate Program in Geography of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology - Universidade Estadual Paulista (FCT/UNESP) (2019). Researcher at the Center for Studies, Research and Agrarian Reform Projects (NERA/UNESP). Collaborating researcher at the Institute of Public Policies and International Relations (IPPRI/UNESP). Researcher at the Work, Space and Peasant Studies Group (GETEC), at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). Researcher at the DATALUTA Network, where she works with the category of land foreignization. Researcher at The Land Matrix, focal point for Latin America and the Caribbean. She composed the National Executive Board of the Association of Brazilian Geographers (AGB), holding the position of president (2020-2022 biennium). She develops research related to the struggle for land and territory, land grabbing, green grabbing, foreignization of territory, appropriation of nature, wind and photovoltaic energy, social movements, conflicts and territorial impacts and food sovereignty.

Compôs a Diretoria Executiva Nacional da Associação dos Geógrafos Brasileiros (AGB), ocupando o cargo de presidenta (biênio 2020-2022). Desenvolve pesquisas relacionadas a luta pela terra e território, land grabbing, green grabbing, estrangeirização do território, apropriação da natureza, energia eólica e fotovoltaica, movimentos sociais, conflitos e impactos territoriais e soberania alimentar.
