David Alan Andow

Graduated Brown University (1977) Sc.B. in Biology. Ph.D. Cornell University (1982) in Ecology and Evolution. Post-doctoral fellow, 1982-1984, National Institute of Agro-Environmental Sciences (Japan) in Population Ecology. Presently Distinguished McKnight University Professor in the Department of Entomology, University of Minnesota (first appointed as Assistant Professor, 1984). Member of the graduate faculties in the Fields of Entomology (1984-), Ecology (1986-), Conservation Biology (1990-), Sustainable Agriculture (1995-), and Natural Resource Science & Management (2009-). Published 147 journal articles, 13 edited books, 5 consensus reports, and 88 book chapters in the areas of invasive species, ecological risk analysis, resistance evolution, landscape ecology, insect mating behavior, endangered species management, biological control, and pest management.
